HOST FAMILIES EAST COUNTY AND SURROUNDING AREAS!
American International Academy is now recruiting Host Families to Host our Chinese Foreign Exchange Students for our summer camp programs. We also have students throughout the year in our Immersion programs too.
We are receiving applications from families who would be interested in hosting and available for this summer.
Student age ranges are 8 years old to 17 years old.
Host Families will be paid $40 a night per student with maximum 4 students per home.
Example: A 6 night stay of hosting 2 students $480, A 6 night stay of hosting 4 students $960
We have several groups coming and going and can keep you busy with several groups for
4-6 weeks. Potential to earn $4,000 a month
Along with the students are their teachers or chaperones. If you are interested in hosting
a teacher or chaperone AIA will compensate Host Families $45 per night per adult.
Camps will begin July 7th and run until Aug 15th. Locations for camps will be at the following
schools:
Emerald Middle School, El Cajon
Tierra Del Sol Middle School El Cajon
Albert Einstein Middle School San Diego
Camp dates:
July 7/8/9 to July 12/13/14
July 14/15/16 to July 20/21 & 27
July 21/22/23 thru July 26/27
July 21/22/23 thru Aug 1/2/9
July 28 to Aug 1/2/3
Aug 4 to 10
Camp hours are 9 am to 4:30 pm M-F.
Lunch provided at camp by AIA
Breakfast and dinner provided by Host family and weekends host family provides
breakfast, lunch, dinner. On weekends most of the groups have local tours or LA Disney type trips scheduled from 9 am to 4:30 pm so Host Family would pack a sack lunch for their students/chaperone's or teachers.
Basic requirements to host:
1. 2 students per room each student must have own bed. (To host 4 students, must have 2 rooms)
2. Transportation to and from camp. Transportation to and from school on weekends if students
have a tour booked.
3. Provide 3 nutritious meals a day. Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. Note: at camp students
are provided lunch so on non camp days like weekends Host Family is to provide lunch
and or pack a sack lunch if there is a tour day.
4. Provide a safe and nurturing environment.
5. Provide clean bedding, soap and towels.
6. Have Wifi the students can connect their devices to.
7. Washer & Dryer in the home.
8. Smoke detectors.
9. Home must be within a 45 min drive to school
10. Application, Back ground check, at home interview inspection,
proof of drivers license.
