Shipping and Receiving Warehouse Associates (2 Openings!)

PrideStaff San Diego has a great client in the Chula Vista as that is in need of 2 Warehouse Asscoaites with Shipping and Receiving experience.

They are a leading Distribution provider in Chula Vista area that is growing and has (2) Shipping and Receiving Warehouse Associates opportunities to join their team. This is with an essential business for the U.S. economy so they are very busy and need to add several Warehouse Associates to their 1st shift team.

1st Shift: 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday.

The position pays $16.00 per hour and this is a temporary to direct opportunity. They are seeking career-minded, quality-focused, detail-oriented candidates that want growth opportunities with a fantastic company.

Requirements

-Must have at least 1+ year of recent warehouse experience

-Experience with Amazon, UPS, FedEx processing systems and protocols

-Bi-Lingual (English and Spanish)

-International and Domestic Shipping experience

-Must have recent forklift experience (Propane and Electric)

-Experience with RF Scanners, Inventory count

-Have experience with pallet jacks

-Able and willing to follow processes and procedures

-Detail-oriented

-Have excellent work ethics, including punctuality

-Be a team player

-High school diploma or equivalent

-Basic computer skills, understanding of MS office (MS Outlook, Word and Excel)

-May be required to set up billing and shipping instructions for product to be processed.

Job Overview

-Maximizes processing and minimizes downtime for product movement and transfer, performs Material Handling, processes product according to specifications if qualified by training and certification.

-Contributes to the accuracy of processing and product accountability by maintaining product documentation; implements appropriate corrective action as needed.

-Will assist in maintaining product inventory by receiving, identifying, labeling if appropriate, pulling inventory for packaging, assembly of shipping boxes as required, and storing product within the Shipping and Receiving area in accordance with established procedure and any applicable Customer provided special instructions.

-Loads and unloads product into and from loading area, includes forklift and pallet jack operation.

-Contributes to safe product processing by responding to any alarm conditions in an appropriate manner; reports events and activities outside normal parameters to management.

-Contributes in a team effort by performing according to the guidelines outlined in the Clients Code of Business -Conduct, the GMP, Lean principles and other directives.

-Works in a safe manner and considers safety in all aspects of job.

-Exhibits a commitment to Lean principles and continuous improvement through ensuring defect-free workmanship, assisting others to meet the Customers’ needs.
