The Position

Alternative Strategies is seeking a Social Media Account Manager to monitor, measure and manage social media platforms for our clients. Key responsibilities include monitoring social media platforms, writing engaging messages, working with our creative team to design visual assets, managing our social media coordinator + interns, leading strategy calls and reporting results to our clients. The account manager should be excited about social media marketing and stay abreast of industry trends. This is a full-time position in a very fast paced environment.

The Responsibilities

- Assist in building schedules, implementing posts, and providing updates.

- Write content and post it on behalf of clients on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Google My Business and other social media channels as needed.

- Work with our marketing department to design social media assets to support campaigns and content.

- Brainstorm new ways to boost social profiles and enhance the social media brands of our clients with our social media team (consisting of one social media director, manager, and two coordinators).

- Create comprehensive action plans incorporating various social media channels to drive social media engagement across various social platforms for clients- including monthly social media plans for our clients.

- Monitor trends and appropriately apply new or alternative methods for achieving high-impact results.

- Connect with clients on a regular basis to answer questions, apply strategies and review social media campaign performance.

- Manage community pages such as Google, Yelp, etc. to update client information and databases

The Requirements

- Knowledge of and experience in social media marketing (SMM) including: Facebook, Google My Business, Twitter, Yelp, Instagram, and more.

- Passion for social media.

- Strong written and communication skills. This position requires daily communication with our clients (email and/or in person)

- Proficiency in Facebook Business Manager, Ads Manager, Outlook, Canva, and Microsoft Office.

- Solid problem solving and research skills.

- Self-discipline and motivation in an environment that requires strong attention to detail.

- Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

- Passion and accountability for quality of work produced.

- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

The Preferences

- Bachelor's degree in English, Writing, Marketing, Etc.

- 2+ years of experience developing and activating social media campaigns (agency setting a plus).

- 1-2 years of experience in managing people.

- Knowledge of social media and analytics software (Sprout Social, Google Analytics, etc.)

- Ability to take quality photos (a plus, but not required)
