Anyway, we’re looking for our very first Paid Media Specialist!

The goal for any paid media specialist is to ultimately impact revenue and this position at Sendlane is no exception! We’ve recently found ourselves in a phase of hyper-growth which is great because it means we’re doing something right but it also means we need to capitalize on that now!

Optimization is the name and driving traffic is the game! We need someone to come in and optimize what exists, implement what doesn’t and analyze all along the way. Working directly with the CEO and Vice President of Marketing, your responsibilities will range from designing, implementing and managing media campaigns to creating, executing and analyzing ad strategies, all with the intention of aligning those strategies to build brand awareness and scale revenue. Sounds pretty straight-forward, right?

You are someone that drives outcomes. Motivated by your expertise, you are strong in developing and implementing strategy that encourages growth of our business, expansion of our market share, increase in our sales and elevation of our brand. As someone who is data-focused and driven by accuracy, you are confident in your ability to understand and interpret us, our customer profile and the data displayed before you. Interpreting that data and recognizing its patterns is one way you’re able to consistently iterate and improve.

Being our resident expert, your creativity is propelled by your “know-how”. You KNOW paid media and all of its intricacies. The idea of sitting and optimizing doesn’t sound cumbersome to you but sounds like a day well spent! But, when all is said and done, it’s all of this know-how that truly gives you the inventive energy to create, optimize and evolve successful paid advertising efforts while reporting your successes on a weekly and quarterly basis.

Your success in this role will be measured by your ability to ultimately promote engagement and attract interest. Which translates into brand awareness, which translates into prospect consideration, which translates into a purchase andBOOM! Just a couple clicks of your mouse and you’ve single-handedly grown Sendlane (lol, if only it were that easy). Working on a highly collaborative marketing team, you will develop keyword lists, create ad groups, write ads, set up targeting and create audience segments all while ensuring consistency across each ad channel and providing ongoing actionable insights.

Being the first and only Paid Media Specialist, you will own this sector of marketing which means you definitely need to have a fair amount of experience under your belt. Despite all the collaboration our marketing team practices, it should be noted that a great amount of autonomy would be required of you. We are not in a position to train or guide anyone to grow into this role. The expectation is that you would come onboard and be ready to rock! Our ideal candidate has managed at least $500k in paid media, annually, and has worked in the digital marketing space for B2B SaaS.

- Creative and analytical with a strong attention to detail and deep understanding of paid media strategy.

- Possess a strong understanding of attribution models.

- Thorough understanding of social media, SEM and display advertising.

- Demonstrate a strategic and customer-led mindset with the ability to conceptualize, create, implement, and optimize marketing campaigns to generate more interest, leads and revenue

- Big picture thinker who is continuously learning.

- Data-driven marketing mindset

- Organized with ability to manage multiple projects and consistently meet deadlines/attain quotas

- Can create compelling marketing campaigns through written word or video.

- Self Starter who understands this role requires autonomy, strong execution and hands on experience. Job:

- Report to VP of Marketing

- Work collaboratively with Director of Content Marketing and CEO

- Plan, implement, manage, analyze, and optimize paid media marketing campaigns for customer acquisition and revenue goals.

- Compile and document campaign analysis, performance reports and measure ROI for assigned clients

- Proactively learn about media behaviors, technology, news, and strategies and present key developments and discoveries with the other team members via internal and external communications

- Evaluate digital performance across different paid channels through continuous analysis

- Sets up paid media campaigns, developing keyword lists, creating ad groups, writing ads, setting up targeting, and creating audience segments

- Ensure all tracking is in place and working properly

- Identify search trends and improvement opportunities for existing campaigns

- Campaign management including campaign budget pacing, bid optimizations, A/B Split testing, and monthly reporting

- Stay up-to-date with the latest SEM and digital marketing latest trends and best practices

- Work collaboratively with the Director of Content and other marketing team members to ensure consistency of campaigns and messaging across all advertising channelsMust haves:

- Proven track record working in B2B SaaS space managing $500k+ media spend annually.

This means that we’ll have our Office Headquarters open and available to anyone who wants to come in but if you’d prefer to remain a full or partially remote employee, we’ll enable you to do that!

Alas, someday we’ll be able to go back to that beautiful 12,000 sq ft space and when we do, you’ll get to reap the benefits of a fully stocked break room, beer and wine after 4 o’clock, standing desks, catered lunches, team trips, ping pong and a spinny chair of your very own (with 18 adjustment points!) AND, of course, actually socializing in person with people - do you remember what that’s like? Neither do we.
