RF Technician

Leader in the precision RF manufacturing, design and manufacture of cutting-edge military and defense microwave solutions, is seeking a Production RF Technician to join their entrepreneurial, collaborative, and fast-paced team located in El Cajon, CA. Our fully vertically integrated facility in San Diego enables close collaboration between design and manufacturing, ensuring unmatched quality and performance in RF product development.

The Production RF Technician is responsible for the tuning, performance verification, and troubleshooting of RF Filter and RF Sub-Systems (Integrated Microwave Assemblies), using established standard work and test procedures. Will be responsible for meeting production line tact times.

Responsibilities:

This position conducts full Acceptance Testing of RF Filters and RF Sub-Systems (Integrated Microwave Assemblies), using established test procedures.

This position will utilize test equipment which includes but not limited to oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, DMM, power supply, network analyzer, signal generators, and automated test equipment.

Position requires the ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment with focus on quality and attention to detail.

Daily tasks will often include helping lower-level technicians with tuning, testing, and troubleshooting to help ensure production goals are being met.

Daily tasks will often include however, may not be limited to, tuning, testing, and troubleshooting RF, digital and/or analog top assemblies with little or no supervision.

Daily tasks may include reviewing and updating test procedures and standard work.

Ability to read schematic diagrams, electronic assembly drawings, engineering change orders, test procedures and rework documents.

Strong working knowledge of basic electronic theory and electronic test equipment (i.e. spectrum analyzer, oscilloscopes, power supply, etc.).

Interface with Engineers for new product implementation or design issues.

Demonstrate computer literacy.

Lift 25lbs–50lbs of test equipment with assistance.

Preferred Skills:

High School Degree and 4 years of prior related experience.

Associate's degree or Technical Certificate from an accredited school or college and 0-2 years of prior related experience.

Equivalent military electronics training.

Basic knowledge of Microsoft Widows and Office products.

What We're Looking For:

Must be detail oriented, organized, punctual, have patience to work with very small parts using a microscope (mandatory) and able to work in a fast-paced environment as part of a team. Good attitude and willing to learn new things every day.

English reading and speaking proficiency required. Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions.

Previous experience performing end-to-end testing, Tune combline, cavity, ceramic, and coil filters, diagnosing and correcting complex TX/RX RF Sub-Systems (Integrated Microwave Assemblies) issues such as low output power, distortion, excessive phase noise, and frequency drift through detailed bias, impedance, oscillator, and power integrity analysis.

Ability to lift 25–50 lbs. of test equipment with assistance.

Fast-paced environment with frequent interaction with supervisors.

Comfortable working on your feet in a production environment.

Must be a US Citizen

Secret Clearance or ability to obtain Secret Clearance.

The work Schedule is a Standard 9/80 @ 7am-4:30pm. With every other Friday off.
