PROGRAM

ParentCare Family Recovery Services are designed for chemically dependent women and their families who at high risk for child abuse, domestic violence and homelessness. A majority of women in treatment also have a dual psychiatric diagnosis and a host of physical health related issues.

Services are evidence based or best practice alcohol and drug treatment modalities to facilitate ongoing sobriety. Women in the program have the opportunity to make critical lifestyle changes and establish a safe, nurturing home environment for their children. Treatment services are gender sensitive and focus on the special needs of parenting women with chemical dependency (addiction) and limited parenting and living skills.

POSITION

Under general supervision, the Case Manager acts as a liaison between referral sources (i.e. School, Social Worker, Probation, Group Homes, Courts, other Treatment Providers, etc.) and the client. The Case Manager is responsible for conducting 1:1 sessions and helping the client coordinate the implementation of resources such as health, housing, education, assist with appointments, provide transportation if needed, etc. The Case Manger is responsible for documenting all client contacts in the file within the program guidelines. The role of the Case Manager is to work with the client and support systems to help establish long-term sobriety and stability, and must be available to work schedules that may include day, evening and weekends to best meet the needs of the population served.

REQUIREMENTS

Registered chemical dependency counselor and one year of experience ; OR

60 college units and 3 years of experience.

Must offer certain linguistic, gender, cultural and ethnic specific skills: must be able to work with culturally diverse population.

Computer proficiency “ MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, MS Office, Outlook.

Must be free of parole and probation for a period specified by program contract.

Must have a valid California driver's license and a clean driving record.

Must pass pre-employment background check and drug screening.

May require bilingual abilities based on population needs.
