Advanced Brain Monitoring, Inc. is currently searching for a part-time Research Technician for our office located in Carlsbad, CA. The ABM research team is focused on the development of EEG biomarkers for neurodegenerative diseases (e.g. Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease, frontotemporal dementia, Huntington's disease), mood disorders (e.g. major depressive disorder, bipolar disorder), and the application of these biomarkers to clinical trials.

Job Summary: The Research Technician will assist with acquiring and evaluating EEG data and interfacing with research partners across the country. The technician will be responsible for scheduling and recruitment of research subjects, documentation of study activity, following outlined protocols and reporting to Research Personnel.

Primary Responsibilities:

Monitor research trial progress from the site management/monitoring perspective, while ensuring SOP and protocol compliance.

Manage in-house research trials and other ongoing research projects.

Coordinate efforts from study start-up through close-out, including collection of EEG data and timely, accurate, and complete reporting of data.

Proactively identify and document critical issues, bringing them to the attention of study management personnel.

Gain proficiency on EEG technologies including application of an EEG system and acquisition.

Assist with internal and external training to ensure study site technicians are fully competent to meet study requirements.

In conjunction with study management personnel, participate in the design and development of protocols and create project-specific documents and tools (e.g., IRB submissions, regulatory documents, training materials, study reports and deliverables) to manage and monitor the study.

Take charge of recruitment activities for in-house studies; participate in pre-study and initiation planning.

Participate in reporting of results which may include attending scientific meetings, developing conference presentations or assisting in preparation of publications submitted to scientific journals.

Responsible for all other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

1. BS/BA degree in a health-related field OR 1-2 years of human subject research experience required.

2. Ability to work independently and within a team environment.

3. Strong written and verbal communication.

4. Must be highly organized and have ability to multi-task.

5. Must have strong PC skills (MS Word, MS Excel).

6. Neuroscience background is preferred, but not required.
