Technical Support Representative (San Diego)

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

- Support users and resolve technical issues relating to network connectivity, colocation centers, and VoIP.

- Track, manage, and follow through on requests and projects within internal ticketing system.

- Train clients on the functionality and best practices of company offerings.

- Analyze and investigate trends of service use by clients to identify proactive measures and/or upsell opportunities.

- Coordinate onsite dispatches and maintenance windows with both clients and vendors.

- Identify and escalate urgent issues as needed.

- Provide primary after-hours support as part of an on-call rotation team.

- Assist clients in adding, removing, and adjusting services.

- Create, edit, and manage documentation related to client configurations.

Skills and Requirements:

- 1+ year of experience in an IT troubleshooting position such as help desk, technical support, or customer service.

- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required, BS or BA Degree or higher preferred.

- Industry certifications are preferred (Network+, CCENT, etc.).

- End-point troubleshooting, networking hardware, and/or VOIP configuration experience is preferred.

- Understanding of the OSI model is preferred.

- Cisco coursework and/or certifications are preferred.
