Sun Coast Marine Services, Inc. is hiring an experienced Marine Mechanic to join our growing team at one of San Diego’s busiest boatyards. This full-time role involves working both dockside and in the yard performing diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on private yacht marine systems.
Responsibilities:
-Perform inspections, diagnostics, and repairs per manufacturer specifications
-Troubleshoot and maintain marine engines, plumbing, and electrical systems (AC/DC)
-Manage time effectively and document all work using company apps
-Communicate progress and issues promptly to supervisors
-Support and mentor entry-level mechanics as needed
Requirements:
-Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
-Must have own hand tools
-3+ year marine technician experience
-Marine tech certification a plus (ABYC, etc.)
-Knowledge of diesel engines, marine plumbing, and electrical systems preferred
-Ability to lift 50 lbs, work independently and in teams
-Strong problem-solving and communication skills
Compensation: Competitive wages
Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
