Full-time Position - Warehouse Specialist
Days/Hours - Full-time (40 hrs. per week)
Location - Point Loma - San Diego, California
Description
Receives, stores, and issues equipment, materials, supplies, and merchandise in storage warehouses. Counts, sorts, or weighs incoming articles to verify receipt of items on requisition or invoice. Stores articles in bins, on floor or on shelves, according to identifying information, such as style, size or type of material. Prepares the shipment of outgoing materials. Examines stock to verify conformance to specifications.
Compiles reports on use of stock handling equipment, adjustments of inventory count(s) and stock records, spoilage of or damage to stock, location changes, and refusal of shipments. Processes DRMO turn-ins as well as processes Depot Level Repairable for return to the maintenance depot.
Operate material handling equipment (Forklift). Loads and unloads trucks and make deliveries to navy customers.
Qualifications
Must have at least one (1) year of logistics experience.
Must have a minimum 3 years’ experience conducting the issue of personnel gear to members of a Military organization, and a minimum of 1-year experience of SSAVIE program or similar and customer service experience assisting personnel in military sized and serialized gear outfitting and Special Operations Forces Personal Equipment Advanced Requirements (SPEAR) gear issued to operating commands.
Proficient in using computer to process daily transactions. May be cross-utilized in other job areas. Must be a high school graduate and be able to communicate effectively with people.
Must have a secret security clearance or recently possessed a security clearance. Must possess a valid driver’s license.
