Title: Applications Engineer Contract: 12+ months Location: San Diego, CA - the person can be remote (away from the building), however they do need to be within driving distance of San Diego for the expected field trials. In this role, you will be working directly with research teams and potential customers to explore new research opportunities for Company's “Business Exploration and Development” (BXD) division working with sensor products from Com[any Semiconductor team. You will lead field testing and software integration of a new technology that aims to improve our planet’s resource use (think soil, water, land, air) by leveraging Lean Startup and Design Thinking activities. Responsibilities include:
Communicate with clients to determine needs and explain complex issues
Conduct research and studies on site
Manage field activities and integrate software solutions
Install new systems and technology
Draft and submit reports
Minimum Requirements:
B.S. in Computer Engineering from a highly ranked university.
10+ years in the technology industry, mainly web technology focused.
Must have extensive hands-on experience developing software across a variety of platforms and environments, including PC, mobile, web, cloud, and embedded.
Must have strong customer communication skills.
Desired Requirements:
Beneficial to have certifications in agile program management, including Certified Scrum Master or Certified Scrum Product Owner.
Beneficial to have experience working outside domain of expertise, across multiple business functions, including sales, marketing, business development, product management, finance, communications, and customer support/service.
