To help us tackle this next phase of growth, we are looking to hire a hands-on Engineering Manager to help manage and guide one of the engineering teams and drive execution and team development.

Job Details
What you will bring:
Expert level of understanding with modern frontend technologies including Angular/React/Vue. Bonus point to have worked on micro frontends and deeply understand tradeoffs between different frontend frameworks
Familiarity with backend technologies including Ruby, Postgres, AWS services (data, compute) and Service Oriented Architectures.
Strong belief in core engineering values around ownership, bias towards action, best idea wins, and have a deep empathy towards engineering happiness
Experience supporting coaching, caring, and developing individual team members
2+ years in a people management responsibilities
Interest in pushing the technology, people, and organization envelope to explore new ways we can deliver amazement to our customers
The ability to motivate a team through delivery on aggressive schedules and goals
Excellent communicator and able to work with remote teams
What you will be doing:
Work closely with our engineering leaders to ensure engineering efficiency and guide the team through a path forward to improve and scale delivery. Ensure that technical decisions support our quality, performance, scalability, reliability, and security goals
Evaluate current technology decisions and engineering practices to drive for better execution and delivery with more focus on the frontend
Build, lead and hire a high-calibre team of software engineers to solve these problems while being hands on
Encourage innovation and foster an environment of continuous improvement
Establish a sense of urgency and direction, set expectations with team and individuals. Establish team objectives in alignment with business goals
Work very closely with the Product Managers to launch solutions for the users
Contribute to overall engineering initiatives as a member of engineering leadership team
