This role is cross functional andrequires executive presentations to various lines of business, Digital Channelteam and Growth & Transformation leadership. The successful candidate willoversee all aspects of Digital Channel’s controls & governance framework tomaximize risk and control effectiveness while balancing the ease of use for ourcustomer experience. This will requiredetailed analyses supported by a risk centric and control minded perspective toensure Level 1 controls related to Regulatory and Operational risks within thebusiness are defined and executed. This position will coordinate with differentinternal control streams as well as various stakeholders across the enterpriseto foster best practices and avoid loopholes or overlaps. Coordination,collaboration and stakeholder management within the Digital team, ProductOwners, various lines of business / support groups and other areas in Growth& Transformation team are critical for success. Experience in digital product offerings andagile methodology are highly preferred.Essential Job Functions
Provides a leadership role in implementing controls,standards, policies and procedures for DCG.Analyze various digital channel’sprocesses and products (existing or new), by addressing required processesunder the Operational Risk and Compliance program framework (riskassessment, documenting controls, and implementing monitoring).
Directs and monitors the daily, weekly, monthly, annualand periodic activities associated with an independent Level 1 Controlfunction. Ensures activities are performed accurately, thoroughly, and inaccordance with regulatory, the Bank's Framework, and/or industry bestpractices timeframes.
Identifies and remains abreast of laws, regulations andregulatory guidance related to various banking regulations (i.e., AML,BSA, OFAC, UDAAP, FFIEC Guidance, FDIC Lending/Deposit regulations).
Acts as the line of business subject matter expert onLevel 1 Controls. Is knowledgeable about industry best practices andsystems.
Collaborates with other Bank units to study andinvestigate issues and identify and implement solutions.
Other Job Duties
Prepares and distributes regular/special managementreports on regulatory and operational risk compliance and the department'sactivities. Compiles data for analysis or dashboards. Maintains currentknowledge of operational risk management and regulatory compliancerequirements for financial institutions. Attends professional seminars andparticipates in Bank and industry operational risk management andregulatory compliance practitioner groups.
Participates in other Operational Risk and Complianceprojects that will impact DCG
Performs other duties as assigned.
QualificationsRequiredExperience
Requires mastery level knowledge of job area typicallyobtained through advanced education combined with experience.
May have deep knowledge of project management. Experiencein Agile Methodology preferred.
Requires 10 years minimum prior relevant experience
Skills
Thorough knowledge of banking operational riskmanagement and industry practices
Ability to conduct, review and approve risk assessments
Knowledgeable in digital productofferings (online and mobile banking, online account opening and electronicfunds transfer)
Strong written and verbal communication andinter-personal skills
Ability to prepare and present risk and compliancetesting, remediation, business updates and high level presentations tosenior management
Ability to liaise with Operational Risk, Compliance,Legal and Audit Departments which may include responding to any and allregulatory inquiries/examinations.
Must have experience and ability to interact withdifferent teams and management levels.
