Please note: We are looking for Senior Engineers on our Data Engineering team but only those who have come from either a Computer Science background and/or have been Java or Python Developers in their past experience. If you are coming from a Database Development background or from a Mainframe background it would not work for us. We need OO Software Engineers who have moved into building Data Engineering solutions.
This role is 100% Remote, but there is a strong preference for candidates who are currently in the states of UT, CO and CA.
Technical skills needed:
BS or MS in computer science
Expertise in Java and/or PythonExpertise in building and executing complex Core SQL, Hive queries.Must have delivered and supported production data warehouses
Requires experience in the analysis, design and development of Data Warehouse solutions
Strong knowledge of Airflow and at least one of Snowflake/Hive
Architectural and data schema design
Hands on implementation of batch and streaming data and ETL jobs.
Develop analytical environment using internal and external reporting tools
Integrate internal and external data with warehouse and external tools Nice-To-Have but not required skills:
Knowledge of moving from Hive to Snowflake is a big plus. Experience in Containerization with Docker and Kubernetes
Stream processing experience (Storm, Kafka Streams)
Experience with HBase, Pig, Redis, NoSQL DBs, Terraform, Google Cloud Platform
