The GSOC Technical Specialist will be responsible for supporting all technical and non-technical aspects of the Global Security Operations Center (GSOC).The person in this role will need to apply technical knowledge and expertise to new and existing systems from setup and deployment to use by the end user. Day to day tasks may include but not limited to the use of reporting tools to produce metrics, setup and troubleshooting. Systems include but are not limited to emergency communication, alerts, access control, surveillance and incident reporting. This individual will apply technical skills to deploy, maintain, and repair systems as needed.Doing all of the aforementioned things well (and other reasonable job duties as requested) is critical for success in this role.Duties and Responsibilities:Deployment of incident notification and response alerts
Analysis of all access control reports by site
Review of all system reporting on alarms and incident reporting
Ability to condense, edit and manage multiple reports for reporting purposes
Monitoring alarms and video equipment including fire alarms, door alarms and duress alarms
Conducting basic investigations and documenting findings
Providing general assistance to employees, vendors and guests
Evaluating global incidents that may impact the client, its offices & people, and escalating accordingly to security management and subsequently to other business units
May assist with communication and disseminating information using established communication vehicles to key partners using best practices
Support all technical projects that directly impacts the program
The levels of responsibility will vary from consulting to owning projects
Acts as a liaison between all departments and the Global Physical Security team
Manages the access control system alarms and VSS
Assist with monitoring radio traffic of local and remote sites and support technical aspect of radio deployment
Evaluates Travel Notifications and assist with setting up alerts for travelers
Checks to ensure all Access Control, CCTV and other tools are working properly
Uses the tools provided to assist in the information gathering and intelligence analysis of researched material
Identify opportunities to improve performance and reduce cost with physical security technology
Develop, maintain and deploy reference documentation guides and training materials
Deliver technical training upon request
Test new systems and software for use by the Physical Security & Safety teams
May be asked to communicate with internal and cross-functional key stakeholders and business partners
Basic Requirements:Possess effective written and oral communication skills
Advanced computer skills and proficiency
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite to include advanced excel skills
Working knowledge of Google Suite
Ability to adapt and operate in a fast-paced team environment under ambiguity
Strong technical and nontechnical communication skills
Ability to remain flexible and thrive in ambiguity
Ability to identify and communicate process improvements to enhance efficiency
Strong interpersonal skills with ability to deal with all levels of personnel (internal and external) in a professional and effective manner
Ability to multi-task, discerns patterns in details, think through problems for logical solutions, and remain calm and professional under stress
Advanced Requirements:Experience in security, physical security, or IT implementations, such as enterprise access control and network storage systems, and building management systems
Advanced computer operating skills
Understanding of complex technical systems
Ability to identify and act on opportunities to improve processes and increase efficiency
Experience in the integration of disparate devices and information systems (video, access control, sensors, analytics, networks, HR systems, building systems, etc.
Ability to use quantitative and qualitative feedback to form insights that drive actions
Ability to be composed to calmly and efficiently handle crisis situations that may occur
