A mission driven high growth startup aiming to connect artists and retailers through their unique marketplace is looking to bring on multiple Design Managers to grow their team of 15. Their entire mission revolves around protecting artists and retailers in these uncertain times, and offer protections to their retailers if they aren't able to sell something on their shelves. Alternatively, artists are also protected as they simply resell the returned goods on their secondary market. Even during COVID-19, they have stayed true to their mission and are protecting small businesses during these uncertain times!
As this is a leadership role, having experience managing and growing teams will be essential. The product is a bit more complex however, with separate products for retailers and artists, as well as their secondary market which is essentially an e-commerce platform. Having prior experience in e-commerce isn't a must, but a welcome skillset to bring. Most importantly, designing beautiful products which are easy to use will be help you stand out. This role will primarily focus on management/strategy with hands-on work as needed.
