Turner & Townsend are engaged with one of the largest Technology companies to support their global Data Center program. We are seeking the ideal Scheduler / Planner to act as the day-to-day interface with the client and drive large Data Center projects to achieve excellent outcomes. The Scheduler / Planner should have a minimum of 7 years post-graduate experience working with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to both review and aid the planning of 3rd Party construction schedules as well as to integrate construction schedules into a master schedule for the global program of plan mission critical facilities. This includes new-builds and retrofits to existing /operating facilities.

The ideal candidate should have an excellent understanding and proven experience in scheduling best practices, resource & cost loaded scheduling, overall construction project controls as well as the interpersonal skills to be able to work closely with the internal stakeholders of the project team on a daily basis.

The Scheduler / Planner will take responsibility for end to end service delivery and to act as key, day to day client interface, ensuring that client objectives are met through the delivery of a value added service. To be successful in this role you must have great communication skills and be comfortable operating in a client-facing role.

  • Leads Program planning development and management with input from program stakeholders.
  • Holds an expert understanding of schedule, critical path analysis, resource levelling and claims management;
  • Ensure that schedule related data from vendors, suppliers, engineering and construction contractors of actual projects is provided as feedback into the planning and scheduling systems.
  • Implement Project Planning & Scheduling strategy, plans and procedures, reflecting both Company and contractor roles, responsibilities and expectations.
  • Maintain and monitor Integrated Master Schedule (IMS).
  • Actively work with project managers, construction firms and subcontractor firms as necessary to maintain schedule integrity.
  • Provide interface and quality assurance to Project functional groups and contractors regarding the tracking and reporting of schedule performance.
  • Ability to coordinate & organize multiple sources of schedule inputs/performance data into a master schedule platform and deliver project/program status reports as required.
  • Prepare and update progress reports as required by the client, including the Integrated Planning / Scheduling contribution to the monthly project report and specific reports / presentations.
  • Produce high level and 1, 3, 6 month look ahead from P6 for reporting.
  • Perform probabilistic analysis on integrated schedules and contractor schedules.
  • Actively monitor and communicate any possible project issues that could delay the schedule.
  • Conduct the required project schedule analysis, critical path analysis and schedule risk analysis for the project as a whole.
  • Analyze deviations from the baseline in the Project Master schedule highlighting bottlenecks / delays and propose corrective actions, and highlight the overall schedule impact of any variance / change order.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, project management, or a related technical field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of program planning and scheduling experience on major projects and programs.
  • Proven record of successfully implementing processes and procedures on major projects or programs.
  • Proficiency in reporting systems and tools using Google Suite
  • Excellent communicator with various stakeholders including high-level management.

Key Required Attributes:

  • High Proficiency in schedule management software – Primavera EPPM, P6 and MS Project
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, and ability to supervise team members.
  • Multitasking and time management in a fast-paced environment.
  • Be able to work in a team environment or independently.
  • Be able to bring innovation to existing processes and procedures.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to visually present data.
  • A good understanding of standard forms of contract.


Desirable:

  • Master's degree in construction management, engineering, project management, or a related technical field.
  • PSP certification by AACE in planning/scheduling is beneficial.
