We are looking for someone to join our SRE team, you will be digging into some of our most challenging software and systems issues with the expectation of providing and influencing solutions to those issues. We believe in building resiliency, scalability, and flexibility into our systems by following best practices for software and systems design.
Responsibilities
Contribute and influence a strong team of individuals to ensure the SRE team is meeting its objectives.
Provide mentoring and guidance to the other members of the team.
Take initiative to drive and influence change across engineering and development teams.
Take ownership of on call duties, critical issues, root cause analysis, solve problems, and propose solutions.
Design, develop, plan, and implement refactorings and re-architectures to improve performance, scalability, security, and resiliency of our applications.
Assist in orchestrating the team's planning, prioritization, and execution
Essential/Must Haves
7+ years being on-call and/or debugging production issues related to concurrency, performance and scalability.
5+ years of developing applications in an AWS environment & Terraform.
12+ years of experience working with a Python technology stack such as DJango, Celery etc.
5+ Years of experience on AWS Cost Optimization
Any of these are a plus:
AWS Certified
Experience with development technology stack
Docker, Python, Django, Celery, Postgres
Experience with AWS serverless technologies
Lambda, Cognito, API Gateway, Step Functions, AppSync
Experience with operational technology stack
Uwsgi, Nginx, RabbitMQ, Elasticsearch, Redis, Consul
Experience with automation tools
Salt, Vagrant, Packer
Experience with metrics and orchestration tools
Jenkins, NewRelic, Datadog, Loggly
