At Cloud 66, our mission is to make cloud operations easy for developers. Cloud 66 Engineering is looking for a Software Engineer to join our team in one of our offices (London UK or Oakland California) or remotely to work on our existing and new products used by thousands of developers worldwide. To take it to scale, you will be developing a complex platform in Ruby and will be concerned with availability, security, and user experience. At the core are cloud technologies that enable the deployment and management of customer applications to all major cloud providers.

Requirements

Cloud 66 is looking for versatile software engineers with product thinking eager to bring our cloud-hosted platform to new heights.
They also have:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent
  • 3+ years of Software development experience
  • 3+ Years of experience with

    Ruby development environment.
  • Experience with databases (

    MySQL, PostgreSQL)
  • Experience with cloud-based resources from AWS to Azure and Google Cloud Platform is a plus.
  • Experience with Linux Containers (Docker) and Container orchestration systems like Kubernetes is a plus.
  • Experience designing and developing horizontally-scalable and resilient systems


As a Software Engineer, you will live the Cloud 66 values:
  • Take Ownership: Build and operate your team’s services in a distributed production environment in the DevOps model. Ensure quality at all stages of delivery and in production.
  • Collaborate with your Tech Lead and other Software Engineers to tackle complex problems in systems used by thousands of fellow developers every day.
  • Empower Others: You will collaborate with others in the Engineering team. Your continuous communication within the team is crucial for success.
  • Prioritize and Write it Down: You will work directly with engineering teams and with members of the product team, architects, and external partners to distill product requirements and customer use cases into architecture, technical design, and code.
