Role: Senior Brand Manager Location: San Francisco, CA - Remote Job Type: Contract (Long Term) – on W2 Only
Qualifications: • Support the development and execution of annual and long-term brand strategies and plans to deliver on corporate business objectives and deepen relevance and engagement for the enterprise brand • Oversee brand development activities for the enterprise brand including nomenclature, positioning, strategic partners branding and brand M & A activities • Work closely with insights and client experience teams to maintain and share in-depth understanding of the target audience, category, competition, and trends and transform into insights and opportunities to grow the brand • Establish and maintain brand guidelines and brand enablement operating principals to ensure cohesive and consistent brand expression the brand across all channels and audience interfaces. • Manage agency partnerships to deliver brand development and strategy initiatives • Manage a holistic operational framework to protect, manage and strengthen the SVB brand intellectual portfolio and minimize associated brand reputation risk. Manage outside IP counsel. Responsibilities: • Extensive experience managing external agencies and fostering best-in-class agency partnerships • Comfortable giving creative feedback in constructive way • Skilled at interpreting insight from data • Possess strong visual and design sensibility • Has the passion, energy and capability to build enthusiasm and love of our Brand that builds advocacy for consistency • Focus on digital marketing and ROI measurement and a proven track record of testing, optimizing and delivering results. • Track record of delivering results in a fast-paced, changing environment. Competencies • Analytical/strategic thinker, creative problem solver and willing to roll up sleeves and get their hands dirty to demonstrate leadership by example. • Ability to structure thinking around both long-term goals and short-term deliverables and opportunities. • Ability to think strategically, execute methodically and ask hard questions during ambiguous situations • Superior verbal and written communications skills and the ability to interact with senior management • High attention to detail including precise and effective customer communications and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously • Self-starter who Inspires innovation and action • Strong project management capabilities • Ability to influence others and create a shared understanding for advertising and brand strategies and work collaboratively with members of cross-functional teams Required Education and Experience • A BA/BS in Marketing or a related business field is required. • MBA is preferred. • A minimum of 8 years of marketing experience is required. • Marketing experience in Consumer-Packaged Goods is preferred. • Candidates must demonstrate strong strategic thinking skills, have strong negotiation skills, be able to work in a team environment, and be customer/market oriented. • Ability to work within and lead a cross functional team is required. • Strong business analytics, consumer insights development, understanding of core marketing levers and advertising experience are required. • Must possess demonstrated leadership and delivery of consistently strong results. • Previous people management experience is preferred. Prior P&L ownership is required. • Digital marketing experience is preferred. • Agency management experience is preferred • Financial services experience a plus
