  • As a Data Scientist on the Ads Marketing data science team, you will drive measurement, analytics and machine learning modeling initiatives supporting global marketing programs.
  • You will drive analytics for global customer acquisitions, retention and growth marketing programs.
  • You will be innovative, analytical and an effective communicator whose insights enable marketers to develop valuable, highly effective programs. Your work will directly influence the client's strategy for on-boarding and retaining its advertising customers. In this role, you will design and perform statistical analyses that continuously improve the efficiency and impact of the ads campaign.
  • You will be part of a larger data science community, collaborating with regional and global analysts on their projects.
  • Additionally, you will work across Sales, Marketing and Engineering teams to embed advanced models and measurement into production systems.
  • Work with large, complex data sets. Solve complex analysis problems, applying advanced analytical methods (such as statistical and machine learning models) as needed. Conduct analysis that includes problem formulation, data gathering and requirements specification, processing, analysis, ongoing deliverables, and presentations.
  • Design and analyze controlled experiments or counterfactual causal inference studies to examine the incremental impact of Ads marketing programs.
  • Build and prototype analysis pipelines iteratively to provide insights at scale. Develop comprehensive knowledge of the company's data structures and metrics, advocating for changes where needed. Interact cross-functionally, making business recommendations (e.g., cost-benefit, forecasting, experiment analysis) with effective presentations of findings at multiple levels of stakeholders through visual displays of quantitative information.
  • Develop and automate reports, iteratively build and prototype dashboards to provide insights at scale, solving for business priorities.

Key Projects/Aspects of the role:

1. Solve complex analysis problems, applying advanced analytical methods (such as
statistical and machine learning models) as needed. Conduct analysis that includes
problem formulation, data gathering and requirements specification, processing,
analysis, ongoing deliverables, and presentations.
2. Design and analyze controlled experiment or counterfactual causal inference study to examine incremental impact of Ads marketing programs.
3. Interact cross-functionally, making business recommendations (e.g., cost-benefit,
forecasting, experiment analysis) with effective presentations of findings at multiple
levels of stakeholders through visual displays of quantitative information.

Qualifications:
.
  • 2+ years of quantitative work experience in marketing data science, product data science, risk modeling or a similar role.
  • Strong hands on skill in SQL and one scripting or statistical programming language (e.g. R, Python) to implement statistical analysis and machine l earning models.
  • Good business acumen and storytelling of deep data insights to business stakeholders
  • Experience in controlled experiment design and causal inference.
  • PhD in Statistics, Computer Science, Econometrics or related quantitative discipline.
  • 3+ years of relevant work experience, including expertise with statistical data analysis such as linear models, multivariate analysis, stochastic models, sampling methods.
  • Applied experience with machine learning on large scale computing systems like Hadoop, MapReduce or similar environments. .
  • Demonstrated leadership and self-direction. Willingness to both teach others and learn new techniques.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to convince business stakeholders and communicate complicated analysis insights to non-technical audiences
