The Ideal Candidate:
You are "bilingual" in science and business. You have a second-nature ability to effectively communicate with all leadership, staff, and stakeholders about business and industry matters within a biotechnology organization
You thrive in a peer advisory or coaching capacity. You are equally enthusiastic about strategy execution as you are about enabling the professional development of others
Prefers a close, high visibility business relationship (more like a "right arm" than a "right hand")
May be pursuing an MBA in the near future
Responsibilities:
Advise and provide executive business assistance to CEO
Establish and maintain a symbiotic partnership with CEO to plan, define, implement, and continuously improve Elucidata business and operational strategy to align and make decisions regarding objectives, roadmaps, staffing, fundraising, and other initiatives. Will manage projects to support these objectives.
Drive monthly, quarterly, and annual planning processes with Elucidata leadership
Conduct market research and present findings as necessary
Define strategic priorities, conducts resource planning, budgeting, and is responsible for ensuring communication to appropriate teams/stakeholders
Develop and implement SOPs to ensure alignment across all business units
Measure and analyze business outcomes to measure results
Establish relationships with organization's leaders and staff to ensure accountability. Lead organization-wide, cross-functional teams to conduct analysis and develop recommendations
Serve as representative of Elucidata in meetings, forums, and/or with media as needed
Skills:
Experience in business consulting (operations, sales, project management)
Experience with investor communications, internal communications, and executive coaching
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
Industry experience in biotechnology or life sciences a major plus
Sharp, ambitious, and patient
Proven mentor and ability to scale up a new CEO with scientific background
