Job Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for optimizing the high performance and robust positioning controller, and real-time servo firmware development for enterprise-class hard disk drives
• Architecting a robust servo system which compensates for environmental factors such as vibration, shock, and temperature.
• Research, design, develop and maintain tools and equipment related to characterization and qualifying robust servo design.
• Providing failure analysis support for integration teams, manufacturing, and reliability testing
• Recommending design modifications enhance robustness, minimize failures and optimize performance in all usage conditions
• Performing simulation, prototyping of advanced technologies, servo subsystems, and the evaluation of product feasibility

Qualifications

REQUIRED:

• MS/PhD EE or ME Plus a minimum of 3+ years of direct experience
• Must have 3+ years servo-controller design experience for mechanical dynamic system
• Must have 3+ years of experience in Matlab
• Nice to have experience in coding C/C

SKILLS:

• Good organizational skills
• Strong problem solving and interpersonal skills
• Excellent global communication skills
