RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce is immediately seeking an experienced Provisioning & Configuration Automation Engineer for our enterprise networking and cloud solutions client in San Jose, California (CA).
Summary:
In this role, the Provisioning & Configuration Automation Engineer will join our Infrastructure Services (IS)team. This position will help us move from scripts and playbooks to a fully automated pipeline running through our Continuous Integration/ Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) system. We want to move to zero-touch automation of builds, patches, and upgrades of our Hosting Infrastructure.
Responsibilities include:
The Provisioning & Configuration Automation Engineer will participate in Agile scrum
Automate OS provisioning, Lifecycle and configuration management of windows server using automation tools
Build and configuration of Windows Server
Deliver releases through CI/CD pipeline
The Provisioning & Configuration Automation Engineer will be dealing with security patches and issues at the UCS Hardware, windows OS layer
Undertake root cause analysis of major incidents
Deliver bug fixes, new features, and functionality as requested by our customers
Participating in on-call rotation
In this role, the Provisioning & Configuration Automation Engineer will serve as an Incident Management escalation point for major incidents
REQUIREMENTS:
BS/MS with 10 years of relevant experience
Experience in leading large-scale infrastructure with at least 10,000 or more Compute System, Windows Enterprise Server Build, implementation, maintenance and operations, configuration management using Ansible and/or Puppet
Automation experience with OS configuration, builds, upgrade and patching. SDLC processes experience that include design, development, testing, packaging, deployment, upgrade, and support
Programming or scripting experience with PowerShell, Python, Ruby, etc. plus Secure Operations experience in OS hardening, firewalls, iptables, etc.
Experience in Agile methodologies (Scrum / Kanban), DevOps, CI/CD pipeline and Public cloud like AWS/Google Cloud Platform/Azure. Familiarity with Citrix will be a big plus
Understands group policies and local policies
Good experience with coding in PowerShell & Python
Experience with VMware/vSphere
Well versed with DevOps practices
Good knowledge/experience of SCCM and SOM (Configuration & Monitoring)
Some experience with cloud platforms (Azure/AWS/Google Cloud Platform)
Proven ability to respond to critical issues, own problems and exhibit persistence to bring them to closure, rotary on-call support including weekends
Work with geographically distributed teams and contribute to operations documentation where needed
Self-motivated and ready with a helping hand as needed
Be able to build and sustain relationships, culturally shrewd and sensitive, goal oriented and willing to learn
