Roles & Responsibilities:

- Perform optical transceiver module validation in system level EDVT

- Configure and execute tests on multiple Cisco switches/routers

- Develop and execute tests using automation platform

- Operate and debug the testing equipment and stations to resolve testing issue

- Provide detailed issue details and description, and drive issues to closure

- Write test report and document the test procedure and result

- Work cross functionally with hardware engineers, software engineers, and external vendors to ensure robust test methodology and timely issue mitigation resulting in high product quality

Preferred Qualifications:

- B.S. in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering with 2-4 years of relevant experience

- Hands on experience with electrical and optical test and measurement equipment (traffic generators (Ixia, Spirent), optical attenuators, digital multi-meters, oscilloscopes)

- Hands on experience with basic networking, including Cisco IOS/NXOS configuration

- Possesses a quality-oriented mindset and attention to details

- Strong troubleshooting, problem solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills

Desired Skills:

- Experience with Cisco Test Tracker automation test tool

- Familiarity with major electronics designs used in optical telecommunications

- Good written & verbal communication skills

- Ability to work well with others - both internal and external teams

- Ability to learn quickly and adapt to a dynamic work environment

- A "can do" attitude, independent thinking, and ability to articulate complex technical issues in an effective manner
