Mission Bill.com is seeking a technical writer who will communicate with external developers worldwide and/or internal Bill.com audiences through conceptual documentation, detailed developer guides, code samples, API references, and other online materials. You might have a background as a developer, and write as a hobby; or perhaps you're an experienced communicator who loves digging deep into code. One thing is for certain - you are passionate about helping developers do amazing things. The candidate will be a member of the Partner & Developer Success team. Key Responsibilities
Design & organize documentation sets for API services & developer products
Edit, clarify, & proofread documents written by others, & coach non-writers on ways to improve their writing skills
Manage complex documentation projects
Supplement developer documentation with relevant testing & sample codes
Key Requirements
BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience
2 years of relevant experience, such as technical writing, product documentation, or online publishing including experience with writing technical customer-facing materials
Experience with source code written in Java, C, Python and/or JavaScript
Experience with OpenAPI, an open standard for API documentation
Business acumen - Ability to leverage the platform to solve business problems
Excellent communication skills, written & verbal; Comfortable presenting to customers and internal audiences
Ability to work cross-functionally with Product Management, Marketing, Sales & Customer Support
Ability to deliver results in a fast-paced, lean, & collaborative environment
