Job Duties:
Avaya Inc. seeks a Software Senior Engineer at our office location in San Jose, CA to lead designs of software components, systems, and features for Avaya OneCloud Call Center as a Service (CCaaS) platform. Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve Avaya products. Manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables using Scrum methodology. Architect and develop solutions to product problems and recommend improvements to the product. Ensure the quality of product by evaluating business requirements, understanding customer use cases, and designing software accordingly. Design and implement unit tests, integration tests, and performance tests to improve product reliability and scalability. Mentor and train other team members on design techniques and coding standards (no direct reports). Participate in design discussions, peer programming, and code review process. Telecommuting permitted.
Minimum Requirements
Minimum Requirements :
The position requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or a related field of study and ten (10) years of experience. Alternatively, the company would also accept a Master's degree and eight (8) years of experience. Experience must involve eight (8) years in the following: design and development of large-scale distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services; Java or C and object-oriented design; Development of complex real-time software systems; Telephony systems, including Voice Over Internet Protocol (VOIP) and Session Initiation Protocol (SIP); Technologies pertaining to audio streaming and voice communication.
