Our San Luis Obispo office is currently looking for a Systems Administrator to join our information technology department and provide a wide range of technical support to our team in database and wide area network (WAN) administration. This position is temporary with a 6-month work assignment and the potential opportunity to become full-time.

This position is expected to:

  • Serve as administrator for all RRM servers and server related software.
  • Install, configure, test, and maintain server equipment to include server hardware, operating systems, network appliance servers and peripheral units.
  • Support strategic systems (such as public safety, financial management, document management) and provide technical assistance to users.
  • Assist in the maintenance of tracking RRM’s assets (hardware & software) and licensure.
Requirements
  • Associates degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
  • Minimum five (5) years of experience maintaining Local Area Networks, Microsoft server software and enterprise software applications.
  • Knowledge of basic personal computer troubleshooting, router and firewall technologies, Microsoft Hyper-V virtual machine management, wireless network configurations, and local data and voice communication systems.
  • Knowledge of network protocols, operating systems, internet, intranet, and remote access systems.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to quickly analyze problems and respond with effective solutions.
  • Strongly preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or network technology related field.
