Title: Software Engineer Location: San Ramon, CA Duration: Long Term
Job Description:
Main Areas of Responsibility
Analyze business requirements and design systems and solutions in support of business needs
Identify, propose, evaluate, estimate, and implement software solutions with a combination of vendor products and custom software
Participate in software solution architecture, technical designs to support business needs while thoroughly considering the system's impact
Design, build, test, and implement high quality IT system solutions with minimal defects
Integrate complex web, middleware, and back end systems
Perform and document system's build activities compliant with the bank standards and best practices
Document/Develop source code libraries/templates to implement best practices and standards
Work with development and business teams in defect root cause analysis and resolution
Work with business and IT partners to help deliver defects free systems
Job Specifications Required Education
Bachelor's degree required with 7-10 years of industry experience.
Professional Required Experience
Experience in product development for banking applications (loan origination and servicing systems)
Deep technical knowledge in systems, application frameworks, database optimization, and experience being solely responsible for the success of software development projects.
Ability to think on your feet, present multiple solution options, and drive defect-free products.
Proven record interpreting and fulfilling requirements by developing high performing, scalable and maintainable solutions with multiple technologies and vendors.
Hands-on experience with SDLC methodologies and best practices including Rational Unified Process, deployment automation, code reviews, and test driven development.
Technical skills: Software Experience
Experience configuring, customizing, and integrating third-party vendor software including Rapport and or InfoLease products from IDS Group (vendor)
Custom web-based applications development including information portals utilizing portal frameworks such as Liferay
Software Integration experience utilizing current technologies including web services
Full-stack development experience in building web-based applications is preferred
Operating Systems
Experience in configuring/navigating Windows Servers, specifically IIS, Unix Servers, Tomcat
Programming
Experience developing SOAP-based secure web services
