Cloud Solutions Architect and Engineer (Remote now / Onsite after Covid)
IMMEDIATE NEED for a Cloud Solutions Architect and Engineer to join a financial services company based in Santa Ana, CA location for a 3 month contract to permanent full time hire (CTH).

Responsibilities:

• In this role, you will participate in full life cycle of application development and cloud migration with duties including but not limited to:
• Assist the team with uncovering and understanding technical requirements, producing estimates and risk assessments for new cloud migration projects and be the expert in AWS Cloud Technologies.
• Provide hands-on guidance and oversight in architecting, designing, and developing applications for the AWS Cloud using microservices and other cloud-native application architectures (PaaS, IaaS, containerization, serverless computing, API design patterns, and Infrastructure-as-Code) and address cross-cutting concerns business, infrastructure, security, and development.
• Write Infrastructure-as-code (IaC) to integrate and scale the applications to cloud and deliver applications on AWS cloud.
• Work with the engineering team and solution architects to convert the monolith 2 tier application to AWS cloud-based solution with modern architecture.
• Migrate IaC components to production and collaborate with the team to create a successful project hand-off plan.
• Conduct design and code reviews, including code sampling design reviews, code profiling, and memory utilization review.
• Efficiently handle live production incidents, debug/troubleshoot application and infrastructure issues, follow and implement SRE best practices at a CoE level.
• Educate and train stakeholders about the benefits of our approach to software and solutions development.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• AWS Solution Architect certification are mandatory and AWS Security and Advance Networking is a plus.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience architecting, designing, implementing, migrating, and documenting scalable and highly available solutions in AWS Cloud using Terraform along with microservices, API management, and DevOps experience.
• 2+ years of hands-on DevOps CI/CD experience is a must.
• 12+ years of hands-on experience software application development and technical support role in live production environment following Development, DevOps, and SRE best practices.
• Proficient on AWS Cloud (EC2, EC2 Container Service, S3, Elastic File System, Elastic Beanstalk, Lambda, RDS)
• Experience with containerization related management stacks like Docker & Kubernetes.
• Experience working in an environment with TFS, GitHub, and Test Automation Frameworks.
• Experience with configuring and monitoring via tools such as ELK, Splunk, AppDynamics, Microsoft SCOM, Windows Processes, JavaScript Framework, etc.
• Experience supporting web-based applications, webservices, and database driven applications using Microsoft Technologies C#, .Net 4.5, Azure DevOps, & SQL Server 2016 and NoSQL on Cloud will be a plus.
• Ability to prepare and clearly communicate proposed technical solutions to both technical and business audiences.
• Excellent troubleshooting & communication skills.
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams in harmony and negotiate with the technology board on best architecture practices.
• Experience supporting technology in a large-scale enterprise environment.
