In this role, you will be involved in every aspect of next generation platform design and implementation efforts (customer engagements, concept, software & hardware design & development). Being hands on in every aspect of development, you get to solve real problems for the real world. This onsite role can sit in San Mateo or Santa Ana, CA.

What you get to do in this role?
Oversee the product development from start to finish with main duties of determining the overall vision of products, managing various backlog items and deciding which features each product will have.
Define and develop product roadmaps for our entertainment control products with user-centric designs for software applications and handheld smart controllers for a smarter living, and voice interfaces backed by our industry leading Cloud solutions
Define and lead the development of brand-new software and device categories to enhance media experience and deliver new services and applications.
Deliver products that fit our B2C and B2B channels including Subscription Broadcast, Consumer Electronics
Engage with global commercial teams, and strategic customers to identify common consumer and industry needs to address including an expanding range of AV centric accessories and new device form factors
Study and benchmark emerging technologies and solutions to define technology roadmaps
Design and develop innovative & highly optimized solutions integrating advanced communication and navigation technologies for a connected home ecosystem
What you need to be successful in this role?
Extensive experience in consumer electronics or media & entertainment business, with a focus on software and web applications, user-centric products and solutions
Embedded wireless product expertise with full product life-cycle ownership from concept to production for internal product concepts, as well as external customer-driven designs
Experience in Consumer Electronics, Human-Machine Interactions, Media & Entertainment, User Behavior Analysis, etc.
Knowledge of wireless communication standards, e.g. Bluetooth Low Energy, Zigbee, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, Thread, Z-Wave, etc.
Design of high volume highly optimized products and HaaS solutions for connected home use
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and comfortable with C-level interactions
Must be able to work in a fast-paced device development environment
Excels at multi-tasking in an environment of continuous change
Works well in a team environment without constant supervision
Must have energy and passion for the consumer electronics and entertainment industry
