Project Manager to join their top notch PMO team for a full time, direct hire role. 100% REMOTE anywhere in CA.
Under minimal supervision and direction using independent and discretionary judgment, drives the execution of corporate projects, ensuring the achievement of the clients strategic goals, while maintaining the highest levels of service, productivity, and profitability. Takes projects from original concepts through final implementation. Defines project scope and objectives collaborating with project owners, sponsors, and vendor partners. Develops detailed work plans, schedules project estimates, resource plans, and status reports. Conducts project meetings and is responsible for project tracking and analysis. Directs and inspires excellence in leading cross-functional project teams from all areas of the credit union.
The Project Manager must be an initiator, a great communicator, a facilitator, a self-starter, creative, agile, accountable, and be able to balance efficiency with effectiveness. Strong analytical and interpersonal skills are a necessity.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Lead day-to-day management of projects from original concept, definition of business requirements and processes to systems development, testing and implementation
Work directly with business units to understand project concepts, objectives, and scope
Solicit information through interviews, meetings, and existing reporting mechanisms
Translate business priorities and requirements into actionable, structured, project plans
Plan and facilitate project meetings
Prepare project artifacts including charters, work breakdown structures, and status reports
Adopt and champion project management process, tools and methodology
Monitor and track projects that require a high level of integration between multiple departments and/or third parties
Monitor project metrics including scope, schedule, budget, and risk
Identify issues, remove blocks, and escalates to management where required
Build and sustain relationships and initiate communication with stakeholders at various levels of the organization as well as other internal and external resources
Conduct post-project reviews and communicate lessons learned to identify successful project elements and deficiencies
Document and archive project artifacts, deliverables, tools and findings for historical needs
QUALIFICATIONS:
College degree in related field or equivalent knowledge
At least 3 years of directly related experience in a Project Management role within Information Technology.
Must have experience managing Software Development projects.
Plus Infrastructure project experience is highly preferred.
Solid understanding of project artifacts, practices, and terminology
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to write clearly, concisely, and logically
Strong presentation skills
Strong people skills with ability to build relationships, instill confidence, and work with diverse personality types
Collaborative mindset and inherent desire to partner with the business teams
Ability to analyze a situation, interview, formulate questions, and probe for deeper knowledge/ understanding
Problem solver with ability to apply critical thinking skills and data driven evidence to identify, mitigate, and resolve complex risks and issues
Excellent time management, organizational, and prioritization skills with the ability to balance multiple priorities simultaneously
Preferred Qualifications :
General knowledge of Agile/SCRUM methodologies
General understanding of software development life cycle
Experience with project management and related tools (ClickUp, Jira, etc.)
