Girls Inc. of Greater Santa Barbara is seeking Gymnastics Coaches for our Gymnastics program located in downtown Santa Barbara.

Gymnastics Coach Essential Job Functions Include:

Creating, preparing for, and coaching intentional gymnastics classes

Ensuring gymnasts safety both physically and emotionally though active supervision while they participate in all aspects of the gymnastics program

Actively spotting gymnasts during skills and coaching

Keeping accurate records of attendance

Developing and evaluating appropriate progressions for the gymnasts' skill level

Being a mentor and leader setting a positive example and role model for the gymnasts

Encouraging, challenging, and supporting children as they experience gymnastics

Participating in staff trainings, meetings, and events

Maintaining organization and cleanliness of the gym facility, equipment, resources, and supplies

Interacting with families in a positive and welcoming way

Minimum Requirements:

Experience working with youth desired

Clean criminal record

Ability to pass a pre-employment physical and drug screening

Must comply with vaccination requirements per licensing compliance (Pertussis and Measles immunization. Flu vaccine recommended, but optional)

Strong communication skills and ability and desire to work as a team member of a diverse and dynamic team

Desire to learn and willingness to be trained

Hours of Position:

Part Time, hours and shifts vary based on coaches' availability

Monday- Saturday

Gymnastics Coaches may have the option to facilitate birthday parties and private gymnastics lessons to receive additional hours

Pay:

$13.00-15.00 depending on experience
