The Santa Barbara County Education Office is seeking exceptional humans for the position of Paraprofessional at Cold Spring School in Santa Barbara. JOB SUMMARY:
Assists teachers and staff in our Special Education programs with providing cognitive instructional, therapeutic, and/or medical support to students with disabilities.
REQUIREMENTS:
Education: high school diploma plus 48 or more semester units of higher education. An assessment examination demonstrating knowledge and ability to assist with instructing students in reading, writing, and mathematics can substitute for semester units.
Experience - 6 months working with school-aged children in an organized setting.
LICENSES AND CERTIFICATES:
May require a valid California driver's license and insurance coverage required by law. May require a valid first aid card and/or certification in Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI).
