The Waldorf School of Santa Barbara is seeking a part time Spanish teacher for the 2019-20 school year. This teacher is responsible for bringing a grade-specific curriculum in accordance with the principles and methods of Waldorf education, including researching source materials, implementing objectives for each class, preparing and implementing daily lesson plans, and assessing the evolving needs of the students. The lessons should be prepared keeping in mind the diverse cultural background of the different countries that speak Spanish, while celebrating the people and cultures of those countries.
Additional job requirements also include attending some faculty and departmental meetings, holding parent/teacher conferences, and writing progress and year-end reports. We offer a strong mentor program for the right applicant.
