Cliff Drive Care Center is a faith-based program associated with the Free Methodist Church of Santa Barbara. We are seeking substitute teachers for our Preschool and School Age Programs. We have a variety of positions to fill in both of our programs these are mid week in person positions. Compensation starting $19 per hour, or more with education and experience. We are seeking loving, experienced and qualified teachers to join our friendly hardworking team. Ideal candidate will be fully engaged and passionate about providing meaningful learning opportunities for all children.
A teacher must be willing to:
· Ensure safety, both physically and emotionally, though active supervision while children participate in activities and free time.
. Help children with zoom and homework.
· Implement developmentally appropriate practices, use observation to assess children.
· Facilitate and plan circle times and activities both inside and outside of the classroom.
· Keep accurate records of attendance and daily injury reports as needed.
· Be a positive mentor and leader to all students.
· Participate in staff training, meetings, and events
· Be an active team member.
· Maintain organization and cleanliness of classroom, resources, and supplies
· Create a positive environment at all times.
· Interact with families in a friendly and welcoming way.
. Be willing to adhere to all Covid-19 procedures.
Minimum Requirements:
· To be passionate about early childhood education.
· 12 Units of Early Childhood Education classes required.
· Ability to pass criminal background check.
· Ability to pass a pre-employment physical and TB test.
· Vaccinations as required by State Law for licensed child care facilities (Pertussis and Measles immunization. Flu vaccine recommended, but optional)
· Strong communication skills and ability and desire to work as a team member.
· Willingness to sign a statement of Christian faith.
