Seeking Horticulture Enthusiast for Private Estate in Hope Ranch, Santa Barbara.

Unique career opportunity working in a large estate composed of expansive grounds, fruit tree orchard, veggie orchard and an equestrian center. We are looking for a horticulture enthusiast, someone with a green thumb and passion for taking care of plants.
This position will be in charge of all things related to the landscaping of the estate such as: gardening schedule, pristine upkeep of outdoor gardens/areas, irrigation system maintenance and repairs, managing and allocating work to two helpers, creating materials list needed to properly care for the garden as well as aid in several odds and ends when needed.
The lead gardener will make sure the grounds and gardens are: free from weeds, trash, litter, debris, plant diseases and harmful insects; As well as employ organic biodegradable insecticides, fertilizers and mulches to optimize the condition of greenery.
To be successful in this role you need to ensure grounds are pristine—both visually and operatively. Top candidates are hard-working, meticulous, and can demonstrate knowledge of plant care, safe equipment use, understand and implement landscape irrigation principles, have horticultural pest control experience, have a strong work ethic, and ability to be a team player. Resourcefulness is a key skill for this position.
