Birnam Wood Golf Club is seeking candidates for Bartender positions in our Food and Beverage Department.
Positions are PART TIME with starting pay at $Minimum Wage + Tips (Approximate Average is $21-$30+ per hour) per hour for Bartenders. Part-time position is 2-3 days a week, some flexibility in the schedule.

Reports to: Food and Beverage Manager
Job Knowledge, Core Competencies and Expectations
Greet and acknowledge members and guests.
Is knowledgeable about the drink menu, drink recipes and wine list.
Ability to time the service of each course.
Learns members’ names and their special preferences.
Knowledge of wines and spirits.
Knowledge of and ability to perform required role during emergency situations.
Job Summary (Essential Functions)
Provide beverage service to club members and guests.
The Position
The Bartender will be responsible for preparation and serving of both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in a professional and courteous manner. This position requires knowledge of all aspects of mixology including food/wine pairings, wine presentation and service. The ideal candidate must take direction well and commit to providing an enjoyable experience for our members while remaining amiable.
Qualification requirements
-Minimum of 1 year experience.
-Knowledge of wine, liquor, and beer service standards.
-Possess a valid California Food Handlers Card.
-TIPS Alcohol Certification preferred.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
- Required to stand for long periods and walk, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, stretch and twist or reach.
-Push, pull or lift up to 50 pounds.
-Work in hot, humid and noisy environment.
