The Food Liaison, a corporate and event catering company, is currently seeking a Chef de Cuisine to join our team in Carpinteria, California. The Chef will be responsible for the daily food production of all catering and cafe meals. This position solves problems professionally, rapidly and fairly as well as maintains and teaches a good work ethic, while supporting the Executive Chef, and developing a sense of teamwork and cooperation within the team.

This Position Will Be Responsible For:

-Supervising, training and encouraging 10-15 Employees

-Overseeing and executing corporate and banquet style catering and cafe menu execution

-Food inventory and ordering

-Menu planning and food preparation

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

-Minimum of 2 years in banquet, hotel, or catering experience

-Passion for customer service and customer satisfaction

-Ability to be proactive

-Commitment to quality

-Strong culinary or kitchen production background, preferably in catering

-Prior menu planning experience

-Previous management experience

-Excellent leadership and communication skills

-Ability to effectively prioritize the workload

-Understands specific dietary restrictions and allergens like vegan, gluten-free, peanut allergens, etc.

-Strict attention to detail

-ServSafe certification

-A passion for culinary arts

Ideal work hours required Monday-Friday 7am-4pm. . . Most weekends off! 401k plan

Qualifications & Requirements

-Basic Education Requirement - High School Diploma or GED

-Valid Driver's License
