We are a busy medical office located in Santa Barbara seeking a Medical Scribe. The successful applicant will be an energetic team player able to interact with all existing staff members in a fast paced environment. Applicant must be professional, reliable, organized, computer literate and able to multi-task and problem solve. Responsibilities include assisting the physicians, mid-levels and Medical Assistants managing a diverse patient workflow.
Essential Functions:
Scribe all patient encounters in the EMR for physicians and mid-levels
Must type, spell and write well with great attention to detail
Maximizes physician and other provider's productivity
Assist physicians and staff build and maintain templates for the EMR
Prepare EMR charts for coming patient appointment
Assists physicians, mid-levels and Medical Assistants capture all necessary information and input it into our EMR
Communicates physician referral requests to the appropriate outside provider
Travel with physician as needed to cover satellite offices
Learn and understand our EMR program
Job Qualifications:
Proficient in the use of general office equipment and various MS Office applications
Proactively approach assignments with a view to achieve the desired end results
Demonstrate strong written and communication skills
Work collaboratively with all staff members
