Actively seeking a Registered Dental Hygienist for a premier cosmetic dental practice in Santa Barbara. This position is considered temporary with a high chance of becoming permanent.
We are looking for a confident RDH who prides themselves in giving the best possible service to patients. As a member of the team, you may be subject to attend meetings, dental lectures, and conventions to stay up to date on new technology to assist in providing excellent dental care.
Duties Include:
- Patient screening procedures: assessment of oral health conditions, review of health history, dental charting
- Radiographs (X-Rays)
- Removing calculus and plaque (hard and soft deposits) from all surfaces of the teeth
- Applying preventive materials to the teeth (ex: sealants and fluorides)
- Making impressions of patients' teeth for study casts
- Performing documentation and office management activities
Qualification and Skills:
- Degree in Dental Hygiene, required
- Current State license, required
- Radiography (X-Ray) license, required
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Basic understanding and knowledge of HIPAA privacy rules
- Current CPR certification, required
