We're looking for a full-time bicycle mechanic with at least 2-3 years bike shop experience to help wide maintain a range of bikes from cruisers to mtbs, road bikes, and ebikes. PLEASE DO NOT APPLY IF YOU DO NOT HAVE EXPERIENCE AS A BIKE MECHANIC. This is a very friendly bike rental and guiding shop and we intend to keep the atmosphere we've developed; so a friendly demeanor and customer service skills are a must. If you enjoy riding and want to do some guide work we can train on this; but mainly we are looking for a mechanic. Any professional certifications are a plus. We expect mechanical proficiency on all types of bicycles and all general bike shop repair techniques. Be prepared to fix a bike during your interview. Must be able to work on Di2 and Hydraulic disc brakes.
This is a fulltime position and we work on the weekends so your typical days off would be mid-week. If you're a great fit but only have part-time availability please still apply as we can work with you.
Must be able to lift 70 lbs; ebikes are heavy.
This position will take place both inside a shop and onsite at client locations. If interested in leading tours that is an option as we lead a few on a daily basis. You can make tips on tours. If you don't want to do tours that's fine as we mainly need a quality bike mechanic.
We need someone that will be on time, reliable, and is good with people. A friendly demeanor and a go-getter attitude is a huge part of this position. We have a great working atmosphere and we’ll expect to keep it that way when onboarding new employees; hence a friendly demeanor is a must. You'll need to have a clean driving record.
The pay for this position will depend on your experience and ability. The range is is $18/ hr - $20/hr depending on your ability and experience.
