What skills do you need to be a general laborer?
- At least one year of experience in Construction General Labor
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to take direction and absorb information quickly
- Comfortable working independently and within a team
- Interest in learning new things and a schedule of job duties that changes from day-to-day
- General familiarity with a large-scale construction site
- Ability to perform a variety of physical tasks including bending, squatting, sitting, climbing, digging, carrying, and cleaning
- Familiarity with operating hand and power tools of all types
- Ability to work in all weather conditions (rain, heat)
- Reliable transportation to and from jobsite is critical (transportation is not provided)
- Must have jeans, plain t-shirts and work boots (personal protective equipment provided if hired: hard hat, gloves, vests, shirts and safety glasses).
In addition to general labor duties, must be able to operate a manual / stick shift water truck.
Must have a valid CA driver's license.
