Job includes feeding, watering, and paddock cleaning for about 15 horses. Must be experienced working with horses and be able to move horses safely from paddock to paddock. This part of the job is about 20 hours per week from Monday to Saturday.
The job CAN also include gardening and other general ranch work in the applicant is experienced and qualified. This part of the job would include mowing lawns, weed whacking, tree pruning, hedge clipping, and other general gardening. Must be able to use and safely maintain the gardening equipment. Experience with a tractor would be a plus. This part of the job is about 10 to 12 hours per week.
The job CAN also include some general ranch work and construction work. If the applicant is experienced and qualified, this part of the job would include carpentry, painting, and general repairs. This part of the job would be about another 8 to 10 hours each week.
The horse part of the job MUST be done 6 mornings per week, Monday through Saturday, about 3 or 4 hours each morning. The gardening and construction work can be done throughout the rest of the week. It is possible that the hours may be up to 48 in a busy week. Often one Sunday morning of work will be required each month.
