Seeking a motivated mechanic / yard supervisor who works well with others and has experience in the heavy equipment industry. Someone who is not afraid to take on the leadership of our yard staff and mentor them as you go.
The ideal candidate for this position must have the knowledge of excavators, loaders, dozers, telescopic forlifts, primarily JLG, John Deere and Kubota. Be familiar with industry standard, practices and procedures with the ability to read, write, problem solve, and communicate clearly in written and verbal form. Must be able to diagnose mechanical problems and perform repairs on all types of heavy equipment, everything from electrical and engine systems, brakes, suspension, tires to semi trailers. Complete work orders, planned maintenance, delegate, supervise and instruct yard staff, as well as assist in the warehouse. All in the parameter of safety procedures and regulations at all times.
Qualified candidate should have a high school diploma or GED, 3 to 5 years of heavy equipment repair background with a strong knowledge of diesel engines and hydraulics. Must possess a valid California Driver's License and a clean driving record. Experience supervising a staff of 3 to 6 employees. Work is indoors and outdoors in a general warehouse condition and may have exposure to chemicals, including but not limited to gasoline, diesel fuel, propane, kerosene, and cleaning solvents. Must be able to lift approximately 70 lbs and have full range of motion and dexterity and clear a pre-employment drug and background screening.
Pay from $19 - 25 based on experience
