Sandpiper Golf Club is looking for a motivated individual to assist with golf course maintenance and equipment fleet management and repairs. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated individual to build and collaborate with championship personnel at Sandpiper Golf Club!
Position available: Equipment Fleet Technician
Full-time positions with possible overtime
The positions ranging from 16 an hour. depending on experience
The ability to move heavy objects weighing up to 80 pounds
The positions will be offered pending the satisfactory results of a background check and pre-employment medical examination.

MINIMUM EDUCATION: High School Diploma or Associates Degree
Qualified Candidates will have the following;

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
ï Inspect, diagnose and repair mechanical defects and failures in various golf course maintenance equipment including; hydraulic, electric, diesel and gasoline powered automobiles, trucks, trenchers, sweepers, rollers, mowers and other mechanical equipment used in utility work.
ï Welding, torching and fabrication
ï Instruct and/or train standard maintenance crew regarding preventive maintenance, and the proper cleaning of and safe operation of equipment.
ï Prioritize equipment repair and maintenance work.
ï Ability to maintain a safe, organized and clean working environment.
ï Oversee fuel station area, safety, cleanliness and secure daily.
ï Oversee 2-cycle oil, fuel cabinet, oil and hydraulic oil stations area, safety, cleanliness.
ï Protect all company assets.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS Working knowledge of the maintenance of golf course greens, tees, fairways, and surrounds; the seeding and maintenance practices for golf course turf; the planting, cultivating, pruning and caring of plants, shrubs and trees; the characteristics and proper use of various fertilizers and soil conditioners; herbicides and pest control methods and materials; drainage control methods; irrigation system with pumps and automatic controls. Possess the ability to schedule and supervise all maintenance work. To achieve the most efficient utilization of workers and equipment, to prepare clear and concise reports, and to maintain effective employee and public relations. Possession of a valid California Driver's License.
