Lead Academic Event Coordinator
Reports to: Director of Conference and Event Services
Classification: Exempt
Pay rate:$44,000 - $50,000 annually

Fielding Graduate University seeks a full time Lead Academic Event Coordinator to work out of our administrative headquarters in Santa Barbara, California
Duties:
The Lead Academic Event Coordinator will be expected to provide knowledge, guidance and training as needed to the other Academic Event Coordinators. In this role, this individual will be responsible for:
Assisting the Director of Conference and Event Services in providing leadership, coaching and development for Event Coordinators
Organization and coordination of the academic programs at Fielding Graduate University National Sessions
Creating timelines, session flyers and staff schedules for various sessions
Collaborating with staff and outside vendors to create session collateral and websites
Coordinating and scheduling all seminars and meetings including faculty, students and staff
Organizing, ordering and maintaining accurate inventory of all session supplies
Providing onsite support and logistical management during each session
Acting as the liaison between session staff and graphic designer/printing companies for all materials for programs and sessions
Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and previous work experience in a related field is required.
The ideal candidate must be able to work at a computer for an average of seven hours per day, have strong written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to shift priorities and multitask with ease. Candidates must have a high proficiency in Microsoft Office and database applications, superior attention to detail and be highly organized. Candidates must be able to travel by plane, work weekends and some holidays when academic events are held. Priority will be given to those with supervisory experience.
