JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

The PR & Marketing Coordinator works with the VNA Health Marketing Team and the agency’s staff, volunteers and stakeholders to enhance brand awareness and grow market share through public relations, media relations, community relations, marketing, branding, advertising, and market research. The PR & Marketing Coordinator is responsible for supporting the successful implementation of the marketing and communications plan and coordinating promotions, internally and externally, including but not limited to: collateral development, e-marketing, community relations events, public and media relations, social networking, and website engagement.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Develop and maintain an annual Content Management Calendar & Plan in conjunction with Marketing Communications Plan to reinforce efforts to raise and maintain the brand awareness of VNA Health.

2. Research, write, produce, and distribute all press materials and serve as media liaison to ensure VNA Health’s interface with the media is professional, credible and consistent.

3. Serve as primary liaison for media relations (editorial, sales, and sponsors).

4. Coordinate the development, production and distribution of the VNA Health magazine.

5. Promote and publish programs and events on the VNA Health online calendar and key community calendars.

6. Track media coverage to develop media clips for reporting and archiving.

7. Collect and analyze data and metrics to assess impact of marketing efforts.

8. Join the VNA Health website, e-mkt and social media team as an authorized publisher.

9. Work with the Senior Designer & Webmaster to support website maintenance and user applications and produce e-newsletters and e-blasts.

10. Work with project managers and designers to develop, produce and distribute promotional collateral, signage, and digital marketing initiatives.

11. Work with the Senior Designer & Webmaster to manage inventory of collateral and giveaways.

12. Coordinate and attend key trade show/community events to represent and promote the VNA Health brand.

13. Stay abreast of community events, programs, promotions and fundraising initiatives to be aware of local/regional activity and potential competition.

14. Work with the Public Information Officer to support emergency and crisis communication efforts.

15. Maintain professional aptitude by staying abreast of local happenings, staying up-to-date on new and innovative media opportunities, and joining professional associations.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

1. College degree or vocational certification in marketing and communications or three years equivalent working experience, preferred.

2. Advanced user experience with: Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher); Social Media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, Pinterest); Adobe Acrobat; Constant Contact; and WordPress.

3. Familiar experience with the Adobe Creative Suite.

4. Astute attention to detail, particularly with proofing, budget management, and inventory control.

5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an appreciation for storytelling.

6. Strong organizational skills with the capability to manage multiple projects, set priorities, and meet deadlines.

7. Keen understanding of customer service with the flexibility to work with changing dynamics.

8. Licensed driver with insured automobile - in accordance with state and/or organization requirements.
