Hotel Indigo Santa Barbara is looking for an upbeat, part-time Social Media Assistant to join our team.
Duties of the Social Media Assistant
managing all aspects of our online social media presence
creating text and imagery for daily posts
requesting imagery and model releases
growing conversations and interacting with our community
building followers and engagement
running ads
maintaining our profiles
reporting statistics and sharing insights
selecting and adding events to our online event calendar
printing an in-house event list each week
writing blog posts
responding to reviews
assisting, consulting with, and reporting to Media Contact, Guest Services Manager, and GM
additional projects as they may arise
The ideal candidate will possess excellent written and verbal skills; good time management skills; experience with diverse social media outlets; knowledge of Santa Barbara's offerings to visitors; and will be comfortable photographing/videoing people/locations, a team player, positive, outgoing, and self-directed. Hotel experience a plus!
Pay will be determined based on experience.
This position requires approximately 20 hours per week.
