We are a small, family-run, and team-oriented winery focusing on making low-intervention, cool-climate wines sourced from grapes grown in the Sta. Rita Hills. We are looking for a self-motivated and enthusiastic Tasting Room Associate and Marketing Assistant. This hybrid role will give you a chance to learn about all aspects of the wine business, focusing on selling and marketing. You'll be exposed to winemaking, learn about wine selling by connecting directly with our guests in the tasting room, and have your hands in many aspects of wine marketing by working closely with the Director of Marketing.
Responsibilities - Tasting Room
Conduct wine tastings
Consistently demonstrate a friendly, knowledgeable, and professional attitude
Identify our wine club members and make them feel extra-special
Be extra vigilant for underage customers; ask for ID consistently
Ask for sale related to Clubs and up-selling
Sidework; keep tasting room space clean and organized
Be able to lift 50 lbs and stand for long periods of time
Responsibilities - Marketing
Database maintenance and clean up
Lead organizing media scheduling calendar
Organize and label marketing photo database and assets on dropbox
Responsible for reporting on marketing metrics
Involved in content creation and development of stories and themes
Desired Qualities & Attributes
A contagious enthusiasm for wine (or strong motivation to learn)
Experience with social media
Love of hospitality and an intrinsic desire to provide amazing, memorable service to guests
Possess excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
Highly motivated, organized, and detail-oriented with the ability to work in a diverse environment
Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Gdrive, and Dropbox

Initially, we are looking for someone to work 2 - 3 days a week. The position could be full-time if the right fit and candidate is willing to work in the Goleta winery location 2 days a week.
